Our Playground Improvements by Eagle Scouts December 2017

Many thanks to a hard-working group of Eagle Scouts led by Henry Gillespie who created a hilled terrace on our Reggio Emilia-influenced playground at St. Gabriel Episcopal School. The scouts and their families braved wet December weather and worked for two days on the project. The slope was a problem in that students and teachers could slip going down it in certain weather conditions and the bark chips kept sliding down the hill. The scouts designed a proposal to solve this problem and implemented it December 16th and 17th, 2017. We are already imagining the possibilities of new ways to play and learn on the terraces! We are so grateful to this wonderful group of people who have changed our outdoor time for the better every day we have preschool or church school!
